Taken from Kohan forum.Greetings.Here's a post a most splendid user over at steam named premium made.' Right click on the game in your steam library, open properties, open launch options, type 'cooperative' (without the quotes) and hit OK and launch the game.I have it working fine in windows 8.1 this way.EDIT: You should also find the KohanAG.exe file in your steamapps and open the properties, under the compatibility tab check 'Reduced Color Mode' and set it to 16-bit.You might need to fiddle with your desktop resolution if the game stretches.' I've tried it with a non-steam version and it works just as well with a ordinary windows shortcut.

Unfortunately it stretches a bit but it's not that bad. An observation:I copied the 3 DLL's to my game directory and launched KIS via Steam - which didn't work. The error message said '16bit colours required' or so.

When I adjusted the compatibility settings of the KIS EXE accordingly, it worked (via Steam). Then I started KIS directly via the EXE, after I had removed 16bit colour mode from the compatibility settings again, and, surprise, surprise, it worked even without that setting.Trying again to launch KIS via Steam (just to make sure that the 16bit colour setting hadn't been preserved somehow) produced the error message again. How comes? It looks like Steam isn't simply running the EXE, but runs it in a way that the additional DLL's are ignored. I have no idea how they do it and why (copy the original game files to a temporary directory and run the EXE from there?).Edit: Tried the same with KAG: I can launch the game via Steam just fine (with the 3 DLL's in the game directory).

Instructions below are to make Kazaa workable with wine.my question is where the /.wine/fakewindows/ directory is.I'm assuming I have to make it, but wasn't sure since the instructions explicitly said to go into that directory so I figured maybe it was somewhere else on here that I wasn't looking.

How to solve the error 'No such file or Directory /root/.wine/drivec/eternal11.dll'.

  1. A Linux Wine.dll.so providing the functions of FTD2XX.sys and FTD2XX.dll - brentr/wineftd2xx. A Linux Wine.dll.so providing the functions of FTD2XX.sys and FTD2XX.dll - brentr/wineftd2xx. At the top level directory of the repository, type.
  2. The DLL descriptor is registered in the Wine realm using some tricks. The winebuild tool, while creating the code for DLL descriptor, also creates a constructor, that will be called when the shared library is loaded into memory. This constructor will actually register the descriptor to the Wine DLL loader.

Install Wine and set it's version to Win982. Install K 2.10 by entering command 'wine klitekpp210b3e.exe'.3. You need to get some Windows dll's to your Windows/System/ directory.Enter the following commands:cd /.wine/fakewindows/Windows/System.bunch of other commands to enter below. These are the only files in my.wine directory.-keerthan@ks.wine$ ls -a. Cachedmetrics.:0.0 config system.reg userdef.reg user.reg win.ini-However, when I installed i placed the 'windows' directory in /home/keerthan/. Here's the setup:-keerthan@ks keerthan$ cd windowskeerthan@ks windows$ ls -a.

Ckeerthan@ks windows$ cd ckeerthan@ks c$ ls -a. My Documents My Shared Folder Program Files windowskeerthan@ks c$ cd windowskeerthan@ks windows$ lsApplication Data Kazaa Lite regedit.exesystem winhlp32.execommand Lite rundll32.exe system.ini win.iniDesktop notepad.exe SendTo uninstall.exeFonts Profiles Start Menu winhelp.exekeerthan@ks windows$ cd system-I'm assuming the fake windows directory above is the one i need to move the.dll files into instead of the.wine directory.but let me know if I'm wrong on this. I opened up a new terminal.i dont know if the last one gave those errors becasue I had switched to diff. Users several times.so it may have not been on the path that it was supposed to be on?

Not sure on that.just a guess.
