The reason being was that the rights to distribute the film The Conclusion in Tamil, which was initially sold by Arka Media Works to K Productions, was resold by the latter to Sri Green Productions. Activists in Karnataka threatened to stall the film's release in their state due to a statement made by Sathyaraj concerning the Cauvery river, unless the actor apologized. Sathyaraj later apologized for hurting the sentiments of the activists.
